Provided is a disk drive which can reliably prevent turning the drive unit to the direction of drive position when the drive unit in the retreating position removes from the periphery. A regulating projection 90 is arranged on the front end 51c of the drive base 51, and a regulating projection 102 is arranged on the turning front end of a lever member 101, then the regulating projection 90 and 102 are made to face each other when the drive unit (50) in a retreating position. Thus, even when vibration or the like is applied from the outside, the drive unit 50 is reliably controlled and prevented from turning to the direction of drive position.
