The present invention relates to windshield wiper arm (10) which is welded with a joint pin at the free end. The joint pin is vertical to the longitudinal axis of the arm (10) and extends in a plane parallel to the windshield wiper plane. A safety U-bolt (18) provided with a corner end (20) is disposed in a stagger way toward to the end of one drive side of the arm (10) and parallel to the joint pin (16). The end of the arm (10) is provided with a rectangle transverse section contour (48), one upper edge (12) and one bottom edge (14) are formed on two longitudinal long edges, and the one end of the joint pin (16) is welded with the upper edge (12) or the bottom edge (14) on the circumferential surface.
