一种音频/视频(A/V)系统及其功能扩展模块。A/V系统具有其中可拆卸地插入各功能扩展模块的模块架和基础模块。各功能扩展模块发送和接收A/V数据并存储控制信息。基础模块从安放在模块架中的功能扩展模块接收控制信息并显示控制信息。若接收到按照显示的控制信息的用户输入,基础模块把用户输入发送到相应功能扩展模块并再现功能扩展模块提供的源A/V数据以响应发送的用户输入。由此,提供一种其中实现多个数字媒体的A/V系统。

An audio/video apparatus comprises a main unit with a rack (16) into which modules (17) can be removeably plugged. The modules (17) provide content signals to the main unit where they are made perceivable. The modules (17) and the main unit also exchange control signals and HTML is provided by the modules (17) to the main unit to define a suitable user interface for their control.
