SOLUTION: This holding member for a glass panel is provided with a recessed groove 5 in which the peripheral edge A1 of the glass panel A is consecutively fitted, a closely adhering piece 6 tightly and consecutively adhering to the peripheral edge A1 fitted in the recessed groove 5 from both sides of the thickness direction, a supporting part 12 for the peripheral edge A1 so as to form a space 11 between the peripheral edge A1 and the recessed groove 5, and a communication part 13 lead the space 11 to communicate with the outside of the recessed groove 5.
