The invention provides a DC circuit breaker and a central controller and a control method thereof. The central controller comprises a main control unit and an opening and closing actuator communicating with the main control unit. The main control unit is used for receiving pre-configured opening and closing timing control data and control instructions and sending the corresponding control instructions to the opening and closing actuator based on the opening and closing position of the opening and closing mechanism fed back by the opening and closing actuator and the opening and closing timingcontrol data. The opening and closing actuating mechanism is used for sequentially controlling the opening and closing mechanism to execute corresponding actions based on the control instructions according to the instruction of the opening and closing timing control data. The central controller has simple structure and fast response speed and can shorten the breaking time of the DC circuit breaker.
