The invention discloses a metal-doped anhydrous aluminum sulfate catalyst as well as a preparation method and application thereof. The preparation process of the catalyst comprises the following steps: roasting and dehydrating industrial aluminum sulfate octadecahydrate in N2 through a tubular furnace to prepare anhydrous aluminum sulfate without crystal water, and preparing porous foamed anhydrous aluminum sulfate due to water loss of the aluminum sulfate octadecahydrate in the crystal water removal process; and weighing the anhydrous aluminum sulfate, mixing the anhydrous aluminum sulfate with a prepared solution containing metal ions, drying the mixture in a drying oven, and roasting the mixture through the tubular furnace in N2 to prepare the metal-doped aluminum sulfate catalyst dopedwith different metal ions. The catalyst has the advantages of high specific surface area, high stability, good adsorption performance, simplicity, easiness in preparation, low cost and the like.
