A redox flow battery which is provided with: a cell that comprises a positive electrode, a negative electrode and a diaphragm which is interposed between the positive electrode and the negative electrode; a pair of cell frames which sandwich the cell, and each of which comprises a bipolar plate and a frame body that surrounds the periphery of the bipolar plate; a positive electrode electrolyte solution that is supplied to the positive electrode; and a negative electrode electrolyte solution that is supplied to the negative electrode. The bipolar plate is configured from pure titanium or a titanium alloy; and the negative electrode electrolyte solution has a redox potential of 0.0 V or more with respect to a standard hydrogen electrode.
