The invention discloses a method for leaching a metal sulfide ore by using nitric acid as an oxidant and a device system thereof. The method includes the steps that 1, metal sulfide ore slurry is added in a closed reaction container or the metal sulfide ore slurry is prepared; 2, under normal pressure, a nitric acid solution is added to the closed reaction container for redox reactions, the pH ofthe reaction end point is controlled to be 0.5 to 4, and the reaction temperature is controlled to be 20 DEG C to 80 DEG C; 3, a nitrogen dioxide gas produced in the step 2 is sent to an absorption tower to produce nitric acid, and the nitric acid is then used as the oxidant for leaching the metal sulfide ore in the step 2. The device system includes the closed reaction container, the nitric acidabsorption tower, and a nitric acid storage tank, wherein the closed reaction container, the nitric acid absorption tower, and the nitric acid storage tank are connected in sequence through a sealed pipeline to form a circulation path; and an air compressor is connected with the nitric acid absorption tower through a gas transmission pipeline. The structure is simple, implementation is convenient,in the entire leaching process, the oxidant of the nitric acid can be recycled, the effective utilization rate is high, so that the cost of treatment of the metal sulfide ore is lowered, and the environment-friendly effect is achieved.
