The invention discloses a line fault positioning method and device based on intelligent switch parameters. The method comprises the steps: acquiring parameter information collected by each intelligentswitch on a distribution network line; and analyzing a fault type and locating the fault according to the parameter information. The method has the advantages that: the parameter information of the intelligent switch on the distribution network line is obtained and an interphase short-circuit fault and a single-phase earth fault are analyzed according to different parameter information; fault information can be quickly and accurately obtained through automatic analysis of the obtained data, so that maintenance and processing become convenient and timely. Meanwhile, data are obtained and faults are analyzed remotely and automatically, so that the working efficiency is greatly improved and the accuracy is also improved.
