The invention relates to the field of sugarcane drought-resistant breeding, and particularly discloses a sugarcane seedling individual plant and combination drought-resistant screening method. The method includes: heeling sugarcane seedlings in pots, cutting off water for the sugarcane seedlings for drought stress when the sugarcane seedlings grow with 6-8 leaves, and judging drought resistance ofthe sugarcane seedlings according to sugarcane leaf curling degree, leaf color change and withered leaf rate to eliminate individual plants and hybrid combinations with low drought resistance. By themethod, drought resistance of a lot of sugarcane seedlings can be evaluated, and individual plants with low drought resistance can be eliminated in advance, so that breeding efficiency is improved. Drought stress is conducted in a drought acceleration system, so that drought stress progress is accelerated, drought state in a natural condition can be simulated, the method is not subject to impactof outdoor environment, testing environment is stable, and accuracy and effectiveness of drought resistance evaluation are improved.
