The embodiment of the invention provides a main beam of a bridge transporting and erecting machine. The main beam comprises a first fixed beam body, a first adjusting beam body and a second fixed beambody which are sequentially arranged along the longitudinal direction, wherein the two ends of the first adjusting beam body are detachably connected with the first fixed beam body and the second fixed beam body correspondingly; and the first web holes which are used for containing a rear lifting device in the bridge transporting and erecting machine and providing the space for the longitudinal movement of the rear lifting device, are symmetrically formed at the webs at the two sides of the first fixed beam body, and extend along the longitudinal direction. The main beam of the bridge transporting and erecting machine can adapt to the simply supported beams of various spans and is applied for the bridge transporting and erecting machine to hoist and erect the simply supported beams of various spans.
