The invention relates to the technical field of poultry feed, in particular to yellow feather broiler feed and a preparation method thereof. A formula of the yellow feather broiler feed is obtained byselecting and using corns, soybean meal, cottonseed meal and corn protein powder to be crushed to a suitable particle size and mixed evenly, then adding oil, salt, sodium bicarbonate, mountain flour,calcium hydrogen phosphate, lysine, lysine residue, methionine, threonine and a compound premix to be mixed evenly, and finally pelleting the evenly mixed feed through steam. According to the yellowfeather broiler feed and the preparation method thereof, an appropriate amount of the lysine residue is added into the formula of the yellow feather broiler feed, the additive amount of high-priced protein raw materials is decreased, the feed cost is greatly lowered, and meanwhile, the nutritional requirements for normal growth for yellow feather broilers at medium and large chicken stages can also be met.
