The invention provides a platform of artificially simulated testing of cable damage under strong wind and a coastal environment and a method thereof. The platform includes an experiment platform surface and a pair of brackets fixed on the experiment platform surface. Space between the pair of brackets has a cement rod supporting column. A cable is fixed between the pair of brackets. An upper partof the cement rod supporting column has a cross arm supporting the cable. The cable is connected with a power supply. An insulator is arranged on the cross arm. Space on the experiment platform surface has a cover and an isolation cover outside the cable. A spraying port is arranged in the isolation cover, and communicates with a spraying port of a saline spraying testing machine. A swinging mechanism used for simulating swinging of the cable under wind force is also arranged on the experiment platform surface. An actual situation of cable service is simulated through the constructed platformof artificially simulated testing of the cable damage under the strong wind and the coastal environment of the invention. Damage caused to twisted wires of coastal cities due to that the twisted wiresare impacted on electric poles by wind force and swing back and forth is simulated, appropriate monitoring physical quantities are found, then cables in service processes are monitored, and whole-life whole-cycle monitoring on the cables can be realized.
