The invention discloses a point light source control device and method. The point light source control device comprises a box body and a plurality of output ends connected with the box body, wherein the box body at least comprises a base, and a heat-conducting silica gel layer, a silica gel silicone grease layer coated on the heat-conducting silica gel layer and a PCB (Printed Circuit Board) are sequentially arranged on the base; a transistor is arranged on a panel, facing the silica gel silicone grease layer, of the PCB; and a toggle switch, a cement resistor and a voltage adjusting knob areelectrically connected to a panel, deviating from the silica gel silicone grease layer, of the PCB. The point light source control device is low in cost that is about 1/12 of that of a digital light source controller, and also achieves control of the brightness and on-off of the light source while the cost is effectively controlled.
