The present invention provides a virtual power plant scheduling method and system. The method comprises the steps of: selecting a preset number of wind power plant output scenes, photovoltaic output scenes and electricity price scenes in the same time period in a preset scene library according to a scheduling period; determining the working state and the market electricity price of the corresponding pumped storage power station based on the output scene of each wind power plant, the photovoltaic output scene, the bilateral contract electricity quantity in the scheduling period and the electricity price scene; obtaining a wind power plant output scene, a photovoltaic output scene, the output of the pumped storage power station and the output of the traditional power plant at the maximum profit of the virtual power plant according to the working state of the pumped storage power station, the market electricity price, the power generation cost of the traditional power plant and the starting cost; and performing day-ahead scheduling based on the wind power plant output scene, the photovoltaic output scene, the output of the pumped storage power station and the output of the traditionalpower plant. According to the method and system, the uncertainty of power grid dispatching caused by fluctuation of large-scale distributed power supply access to the power grid, distributed energy output and network load is solved.
