The invention relates to the field of electric appliance switches, in particular to an isolating switch and a moving contact thereof. The moving contact comprises a first conductive part and a secondconductive part. The first conductive part and the second conductive part are in sliding fit and in conductive contact; and a buffer structure is arranged between the first conductive part and the second conductive part, wherein the second conductive part pushes the first conductive part to move through the buffer structure when being switched on, the second conductive part is further provided with a stop structure which is in stop fit with the first conductive part in the direction away from the first conductive part, and the second conductive part drives the first conductive part to move through the stop structure when being switched off. After the first conductive part of the moving contact is in conductive contact with the static contact, the buffer structure begins to be compressed without decreasing the switching-on speed of the isolation switch, the buffer structure absorbs the impact energy of the moving contact and the adaptive contact to reduce the impact force of the movingcontact and the adaptive contact and solve the problem of the short service life caused by poor buffer effect of the buffer structure when the existing moving contact is used.
