The invention discloses an optimal configuration method and system for an energy storage system in a virtual power plant based on a scene set. The optimal configuration method of the energy storage system comprises the following steps: constructing a virtual power plant model comprising a fan, a photovoltaic vehicle, an electric vehicle and the energy storage system; simulating uncertainty factorsin the virtual power plant through Monte Carlo sampling, and generating a combined output scene set; establishing an energy storage system capacity optimal configuration objective function considering the cost; and solving the optimal configuration model of the energy storage system in the virtual power plant through a differential evolution algorithm in combination with various constraint conditions in actual operation. The uncertainty of each distributed energy output in the virtual power plant is considered, and the energy storage system is optimally configured, so that the purpose of reducing the construction cost of the virtual power plant is achieved.
