The invention provides a detection tooling and detection method for automatically binding a carrier barcode. The detection tooling for automatically binding the carrier barcode comprises a detection tooling board and a detection line; a carrier electric meter is mounted on the detection tooling board; an IRFD reader and first and second position signal sensors are disposed under the detection line; a bracket is arranged above the detection line; third position signal sensors are disposed at both ends of the bracket; a barcode scanning device is hung on the upper part of the bracket; a detection tooling board limiting block is also disposed on one side of the detection line; and a control board is fixed on the detection line. According to the invention, the IRFD reader and the barcode scanning device are disposed on the detection line; the tooling board carrying the electric meter moves with the detection line; and the position of the tooling board is perceived through the position signal sensors; when the specified position is reached, the barcode is scanned and the data of the electric meter is obtained automatically to perform binding; therefore, the automatic binding is realized, manual intervention is not required, and the production efficiency is greatly improved; and the invention is suitable for applications in large-scale automatic lines and a single-body.
