The high-strength wear-resistant castable used for rotary hearth furnaces is composed of an aggregate, a fined powder, and a mixed powder; the aggregate is one or a mixture of a plurality of components selected from high bauxite homogenized material, brown corundum, white corundum, and mullite; the fine powder is one or a mixture of a plurality of components selected from brown corundum, white corundum, plate corundum, and mullite; the mixed powder is compose of SiC powder,micropowder, a binder, an additive, and a dispersant. According to the preparation method, the high-strength wear-resistant castable used for high reduction atmosphere kilns such as rotary hearth furnaces used for direct reduction of iron is excellent in CO cracking resistance, low in raw material requirement, and excellent in thermal shock resistance and wear resistance.
