The invention provides a moving target detection and parameter estimation method based on a satellite-borne video SAR, which comprises the following specific processes: firstly, selecting a reasonableframe period according to the speed range of a target to be detected to process echo data, so as to obtain an SAR video image; secondly, detecting a moving target based on the SAR video image, and estimating moving parameters of a moving target image; and realizing moving target detection and parameter estimation based on the video SAR on the basis of the quantitative relation between the movingparameters of the moving target image and actual moving parameters. The moving target detection and parameter estimation method can quickly realize detection and parameter estimation of the moving target.
