The objective of the invention is to provide an electrolyte additive and a high voltage electrolyte containing the additive and a battery, and belongs to the technical field of lithium ion batteries.The electrolyte additive is lithium organophosphate and lithium organosulfate derivatives. The high voltage electrolyte is prepared by adding about 1% additive to the conventional electrolyte so thatthe electrolyte is enabled to have a high oxidation potential (4.5 V or more) and can be matched with a high voltage positive electrode material, which provides a necessary condition for obtaining thelithium ion battery with a high energy density, and addition of the additive is helpful for forming a stable SEI film, thereby prolonging the cycle performance of the battery. The electrolyte additive has reasonable structure design, simple preparation method, excellent product performance and is convenient for large-scale industrial application.
