The invention provides a method and system for calculating a short-circuit current of a flexible direct current grid considering converter control. The method includes the steps that a converter station is equivalent to parallel connection of a controlled current and an RLC series branch, and a direct current grid transmission line is represented by a centralized parameter model to establish a simplified equivalent circuit of the flexible direct current grid during a short circuit; and the established equivalent circuit is solved by an accompanying circuit method to obtain a branch current when the flexible direct current grid is short-circuited. The method for calculating the short-circuit current is good in adaptability, can process various types of faults, and adapts to various networktopologies and various main wiring modes of converter stations.
