The grinding method comprises the steps that rough grinding is conducted on the roughing roller, in the rough grinding process, the linear speed of a grinding wheel is controlled to be 26-37 m/s, the speed of the roller is controlled to be 13-18 rpm, the speed of a support plate is controlled to be 1300-3500 mm/min, the feed rate is controlled to be 0.02-0.26 mm/min, and the current control range is 80-140A; semi-finishing is conducted on the roughing roller, in the semi-finishing process, the linear speed of the grinding wheel is controlled to be 15-28 m/s, the speed of the roller is controlled to be 10-17 rpm, the speed of the supporting plate is controlled to be 600-1300 mm/min, the feed rate is controlled to be 0.06-0.45mm/min, and the current control range is 120-160A; finishing is conducted on the roughing roller, in the finishing process, the linear speed ofthe grinding wheel is controlled to be 9-22 m/s, the rotation speed of the roller is controlled to be 7-16rpm, the speed of the support plate is controlled to be 300 -800 mm /min, the feed rate is controlled to be 0.12 mm/min-0.45 mm/min, and the current control range is 140-195 A. The grinding method solves the problems that a low roller face roughness of the roller often causes nip slippage ofa plate blank and snakelike shifting of strip steel in the rolling process and does bad to plate shape control of an intermediate blank in the new roller initial stage, and more seriously, deflectionand steel scrapping can be caused during roughing rolling and finishing rolling.
