The invention discloses a method and system for determining the most excellent falling point at a receiving end of a layered DC connection system, and belongs to the technical field of a power system.The method comprises the steps of determining n falling points of a receiving-end system to which layered direct current is accessed, and building an equivalent node impedance matrix of an AC systemwhen the layered DC falling points are i and s; determining short-circuit capacity of a conversion bus according to equivalent node impedance; determining layered DC short-circuit ratio of an AC-DC system according to the equivalent node impedance of the AC system and the short-circuit capacity of the DC conversion bus; and determining the most excellent falling point to which the layered direct current is accessed according to an index representing intensity of the AC-DC system. By the method, safe and stable running of the AC-DC system to which ultrahigh-voltage layered direct current is accessed is ensured, the most excellent falling point to which the layered direct current is accessed is selected according to the DC short-circuit ratio, and a planning and running judgment basis is provided for an electrician.
