The invention discloses a method for preparing propylene by catalyzing chloromethane reaction by a rare earth metal Sm doped H-ZSM-34 molecular sieve, and belongs to the technical field of synthesizing the propylene by catalyzing chloromethane. The rare earth metal Sm doped H-ZSM-34 molecular sieve is used as a catalyst for catalyzing the chloromethane to react for preparing the propylene, whereinthe conversion rate of the chloromethane in the reaction reaches 79.9%, the selectivity of the propylene reaches 35.4%, the yield of the propylene reaches 28.3%, and the catalyst has no deactivationphenomenon within 7 hours. The rare earth metal Sm doped H-ZSM-34 molecular sieve prepared by the method has the advantages of unique pore structure, suitable acidity, good stability, larger specificsurface area and the like.
