The preparation method of the lithium ion battery electrode piece comprises the following steps: (1) slurry preparing; (2) slurry coating; (3) plasma etching: etching a dried electrode piece by adopting plasma etching equipment at room temperature, and forming a hole perpendicular to the surface of the electrode piece in the coating; (4) rolling and winding of the etched electrode piece for later use. The graphene, distributed in the horizontal direction, in the electrode piece is selectively etched through a plasma etching method, so that the transmission of lithium ions in the electrode piece is facilitated, the steric hindrance effect of the graphene is reduced, and the ionic conductivity of the lithium ion battery electrode piece is greatly enhanced.
