The analyzing method comprises the steps that a to-be-detected sample which contains the butyl ester compositions and a standard sample are measured by gas chromatography-mass spectrometry correspondingly, the retention time is compared to determine the chemical compositions, aninternal standard curve method is used for determining the amounts of the compositions, the content of the butyl ester compositions in the to-be-detected sample is determined, wherein the to-be-detected sample is a mixture of an adhesive water sample, N,N-dimethylformamide and an internal standard solution, and the standard sample is a mixture of a standard solution and the internal standard solution. According to the analyzing method of the butyl ester compositions in the water-based adhesive for cigarette packing, a pretreatment method of the sample is simple, convenient and rapid, the separation degree is good, the detection result is precise and reliable, the sensitivity is high, the repeatability is good, and requirements for analyzing the butyl ester compositions in the water-based adhesive for cigarette packing can be completely met.
