The invention discloses an in-situ preparation method for a composite boron carbide-silicon carbide ceramic by adopting silica powder as a raw material. The method comprises the following steps that (1) a carbonaceous reducing agent is ground into powder with the particle size less than or equal to 60 microns; (2) boron carbide powder, the powder and micro silica powder are uniformly mixed, waterand an adhesive are added, and the mixture is pressed into square blocks by a ball pressing machine; (3) the square blocks are dried at the temperature of 50-120 DEG C and prepared into green bodies;(4) the green bodies are sintered by a vacuum hot pressing sintering furnace, and the composite boron carbide-silicon carbide ceramic material is prepared. The method is reasonable in matching ratio,significantly improves uniformity of silicon carbide distribution, and improves combining conditions of the interfaces of boron carbide and silicon carbide, so that the prepared composite boron carbide-silicon carbide ceramic prepared through sintering has better performance.
