The invention discloses a forging process of nitrogen-containing austenitic stainless steel. The forging process comprises a pre-forging heat treatment and forging process; the pre-forging heat treatment process comprises the following steps that a blank is heated to 980-1020 DEG C, and heat preservation is carried out for 1-1.5 hours; heating is carried out to 1140-1160 DEG C, and the heat preservation is carried out for 10-15 hours; and the forging process comprise the following steps that the multi-fire forging is adopted, a temperature compensation device of a forging machine is adopted for heating during forging, and the final forging temperature of each fire is controlled to be 950 DEG C or above. According to the process, the precipitation phase in the nitrogen-containing austeniticstainless steel is redissolved through the heat treatment process, the grain boundary embrittlement phase is reduced, and the forging cracking caused by weakening of the grain boundary is eliminated;the temperature compensation device is used for carrying out temperature compensation on a material, the uniformity of the temperature of a forge piece is increased according to the position of the faster temperature drop rate of the forge piece, and the internal stress generated due to the temperature difference of the forge piece can be effectively reduced; and meanwhile, the duration of each fire is improved, and the production and machining efficiency is improved.
