The invention provides a meter reading method applied to a meter reading terminal. The method comprises the steps of selecting an identifier of a to-be-read electric meter from electric meter identifiers of a plurality of electric meters, fed back by a concentrator; and sending a read data acquisition instruction to the concentrator according to the identifier of the to-be-read electric meter, andreceiving read data fed back by the concentrator. The invention further provides a meter reading method applied to the concentrator. The method comprises the steps of sending the electric meter identifiers of the plurality of the electric meters associated with the concentrator to the meter reading terminal; and when the read data acquisition instruction sent by the meter reading terminal is received, acquiring the read data according to the read data acquisition instruction, and sending the read data to the meter reading terminal. Corresponding to the meter reading method, the invention further provides the meter reading terminal, the concentrator and a computer readable storage medium. By means of the technical scheme, the efficiency of electric meter reading can be improved.
