The invention discloses a true random number generator. The generator comprises a high-frequency signal generation circuit, a low-frequency sampling clock generation circuit, a counter, an n-bit sampling trigger, an n-input exclusive-OR gate and a single-bit sampling trigger. According to the true random number generator, a specific sampling circuit is introduced into the random number generator based on the oscillator sampling principle, the randomness of an output random number sequence can be effectively improved, deviation of '0' and '1' can be effectively corrected, the structure is simple, and the reliability is high.
