The invention relates to a relaying method implemented by a half-duplex relay intended for a telecommunication system comprising a plurality of sources, the relay and a recipient. The method (1) comprises: parameter setting of a set L R,b of time-indexed sources b, - defining of logic rules C b (L R,b , S R,b , S D,b ), b= 1,..., B-1 which lead to the determination of a selection of error-free decoded source messages with which the relay cooperates, a receiving phase (2) comprising: o receiving the codewords transmitted by the sources, this phase comprising a decoding step for estimating for each source, from the received codewords, a message u S,t associated with the codewords (c s ) transmitted by the source, o error detection and decision (3), by the relay, of error-free decoded messages, the error-free decoded messages determining the set S R,b of sources decoded without error by the relay, - a phase (4) of coding and transmission to the recipient of a signal that is a uniquely representative of the selection of messages, the receiving phase being such that, after each reception of a block (c (b)/ s,t ) from different sources, the relay receives and decodes a return path from the destination indicating (S D,b ) if no or at least one message is decoded without error, these messages decoded without error by the destination determining the set S D,b of sources decoded without error by the destination and the method being such that the relay switches from the receiving phase to the coding and transmission phase only once one of the logic rules C i is valid.
