The invention relates to a method for utilizing low-grade vanadium-titanium magnetite. According to the method, the low-grade vanadium-titanium magnetite is blended with metallic aluminum powder whichis adopted as a reducing agent; then, the blend is heated in an electric furnace and a reducing reaction is performed; after the reaction is finished, slag is separated out; and finally, an aluminum-iron-titanium alloy is acquired. Through the method provided by the invention, the valuable components of iron, vanadium and titanium in the low-grade vanadium-titanium magnetite can be directly recycled; and the method abandons the iron and titanium separating treatment in a conventional process method, so that the process can become simpler and the valuable component recycling cost can be lower.
