The invention discloses a manufacturing process of a roller of a steel-plastic cutting machine. A protective coating covers the surface of the roller for conveying a cord fabric in a cord fabric transferring device; the manufacturing process of the protective coating comprises the following steps that 1) sand blasting operation is performed on the surface of the roller, and the surface of the roller is covered with a rough sand layer which serves as a first coating; 2) hot galvanizing operation is performed on the first coating, and the surface of the roller is covered with a galvanized smoothlayer which serves as a second coating; and 3) paint spraying operation is performed on the second coating, and the surface of the roller is covered with an anticorrosive wear-resistant coating whichserves as a third coating. According to the process, the phenomena that a belt layer wrinkles and the belt layer firmly wraps around the roller due to the fact that rubber is adhered to the roller during the conveying process can be avoided, the width precision and the angle precision of cutting are improved, and meanwhile, the service life of the roller is prolonged.
