The invention discloses a method and a system for processing asset information of a remote communication unit, which comprise the following steps: taking an international mobile equipment identity code IMEI as an identity identification code of the remote communication unit; establishing an asset code of the remote communication unit; reading the identity identification code and the asset code ofthe remote communication unit before putting into use the remote communication unit, and establishing the corresponding relation between the identity identification code and the asset code of the remote communication unit; sending the corresponding relation between the identity identification code and the asset code to an acquisition system main station, and managing the remote communication unitthrough the acquisition system main station; after putting into use the remote communication unit, reading the identity identification code of the remote communication unit, and judging whether the identity identification code is updated or not through an acquisition terminal; when the identity identification code of the remote communication unit is updated, inquiring the asset code correspondingto the new identity identification code through the acquisition system main station, and binding the communication unit and the asset code of an assigned terminal.
