The invention discloses an automatic maintaining method and device of a zookeeper cluster. Cluster server nodes contained by the zookeeper cluster are divided into a master sub-group and a slave sub-group, and master nodes are selected from the master sub-group; and whether the number of the surviving nodes in the master sub-group exceeds half of the total number of the cluster server nodes contained by the master sub-group is further judged when the master nodes survive and the number of surviving nodes in the zookeeper cluster is not more than half, if yes, the zookeeper cluster adopts a single-machine-room mode to provide services outwards, and if not, the zookeeper cluster stops providing the services outwards. On the basis of the above method and device, the zookeeper cluster in multi-machine-room deployment can still provide the services outwards as long as the surviving nodes in the master sub-group are more than half when the number of the surviving nodes cannot exceed the half.
