The invention provides a drying agent for glass, and a preparation method of the drying agent. The drying agent for the glass is prepared from the following raw materials in parts by weight: 7-12 parts of magnesium perchlorate, 8-11 parts of polyacrylamide, 15-25 parts of aluminum sulfate, 5-10 parts of titanium dioxide, 8-13 parts of nano-clay, 1-3 parts of coco trimethyl ammonium chloride and 10-20 parts of coconut peel. The drying agent for the glass is scientific in proportion, and all the components have a synergistic effect, so that the quality of the drying agent for the glass is greatly optimized; the drying agent provided by the invention has a higher absorption capacity to water, and can absorb a certain amount of oxygen molecules and nitrogen molecules, thus being high in comprehensive absorption capacity. When being applied to the hollow glass, the drying agent can maintain the superior performance of the glass for a longer time.
