The invention relates to a method and a device for modifying Young's modulus of compact sandstones. According to the method, a dynamic Young's modulus is firstly calculated according to an array acoustic wave velocity; a silicon element content, an iron element content, a shale content and a porosity of a compact sandstone are acquired; and the calculated dynamic Young's modulus is corrected according to the silicon element content, the iron element content, the shale content and the porosity so as to obtain a corrected Young's modulus. According to the method, the silicon element content reflecting a quartz content, the iron element content reflecting a rock chip content, the shale content reflecting plasticity and the porosity are added into the calculated Young's modulus as correction coefficients to correct the calculated dynamic Young's modulus so that the corrected dynamic Young's modulus is more accurate and highly related to a static Young's modulus.
