The invention provides an application of lactate dehydrogenase in the asymmetric synthesis of chiral hydroxyl compounds. The compound of formula A prepared by the method has the advantages of high concentration, high optical purity of the product, mild reaction condition, environment friendliness, simple operation and easy industrial amplification.
