The invention discloses a construction method for a dumbbell bearing platform on a land. The construction method comprises the following steps: a first drilling pile and a second drilling pile are constructed in a first bearing platform area and a second bearing platform area; after construction of the first drilling pile, a first outer side cofferdam is inserted in the outer side of the first bearing platform area; a temporary cofferdam is inserted in a center straining beam area, and is commanded to gather with the first outer side cofferdam; a foundation pit is excavated in the first bearing platform area; after construction of the second drilling pile, a second outer side cofferdam is inserted in the outer side of the second bearing platform area, and is commanded to gather with the temporary cofferdam; a foundation pit is excavated in the second bearing platform area; after excavation of the foundation pits in the first bearing platform area and the second bearing platform area, afoundation pit is excavated in the center straining beam area; and bearing platforms are constructed in the first bearing platform area, the second bearing platform area and the center training beamarea. The construction method can prevent the constraint on the bearing platform construction by the drilling pile construction progress, and effectively shortens the foundation pit excavation period.
