The invention provides a hermetic compressor with improved lubricity between a connecting rod and a piston pin and a device using the same. The hermetic compressor has: a sealed container which contains lubricant; a piston which is reciprocable and is provided with a piston pin; a piston-pin axial-direction lubricant passage which extends in an axial direction of the piston pin; and a piston-pin circumferential direction groove which extends in a circumferential direction of the piston pin.
