A method for fast power response of inverter of photovoltaic power station is provided. In this method, the total station inverter is configured as a common inverter which participates in power regulation and a sample inverter with natural maximum power generation which does not participate in power regulation, A DC bus voltage reference value of a sample inverter of an adjacent area is obtained by a common inverter based on communication, At that same time, the power target value sent from the fast power control device at the factory station end is received, and regulated by voltage outer loop and current inner loop, a fast power drop or leapfrog power climb execution response are performed so as to achieve a fast power control objective for the individual inverter of 50 milliseconds andtotal station of 100 milliseconds, to meet the response requirements of the system for 100 millisecond regulation of the photovoltaic power plant in case of power grid disturbance or abnormal state, ,thereby improving the stability of the power grid, as well as the photovoltaic grid-friendly and cost-effective performance.
