The invention discloses an intelligent charging port lighting control system and method. The intelligent charging port lighting control system comprises a charging port door panel switch and a light sensor arranged at a charging port of a vehicle; a charge controller CCU connected with the charging port door panel switch and the light sensor respectively, wherein the charging controller CCU detects the state of the charging port door panel through the charging port door panel switch and detects the light brightness of the surrounding environment of the charging port through the light sensor; and a lighting indicator lamp which is controlled according to the state of the charging port door panel and the light brightness of the surrounding environment of the charging port. According to the system provided by the embodiment of the invention, by installing the charging port door panel switch and light sensor at the charging port of the automobile, and detecting the state of the charging port door panel switch and the light brightness of the surrounding environment by the charging controller, the working state of the lighting indicator lamp is controlled, the intelligent lighting experience of the charging port is brought to the user, the energy is saved, and user operation is facilitated at the same time.
