The invention discloses a method for setting a linkage type positioning optical-fibre boundary security system, and belongs to the technical field of security engineering. The method is characterizedby comprising the steps of: a, selecting an alarm detector; b, increasing the setting distance for a defence area, where persons frequently go in and out, and decreasing the setting distance for a safety protection blind area, where few persons go in and out; c, in combination with environmental requirements, selecting an alarm detector suitable for an environment; d, confirming boundary defence area division according to the selected alarm detector; e, adjusting the sensitivity of the alarm detector; f, determining the installation position of a boundary camera; and g, communicating an alarmsignal in the defence area to an intermediate system, sending a pre-set command of steering and focusing the called boundary camera through the intermediate system, and completing boundary security and video monitoring linkage. According to the method in the invention, due to the linkage mode, the disadvantage that single vision monitoring has a blind area can be avoided; the dynamic response of an alarm is effectively improved; and integrated application is improved.
