Provided are a method, equipment and system for controlling a wind generating set. The method for controlling the wind generating set comprises the steps that engine room relevant position parametersof the wind generating set are acquired through a global positioning system; real-time engine room vibration displacement is determined based on the engine room relevant position parameters; a real-time tower bottom bending moment load is determined according to the real-time engine room vibration displacement; and when the real-time tower bottom bending moment load is larger than a tower bottom bending moment load threshold value, the wind generating set is controlled to operate under a preset control strategy to reduce the load of a tower of the wind generating set. According to the method,equipment and system for controlling the wind generating set, the limit load of the tower of the wind generating set can be effectively reduced, and the survival ability of the tower under the extremecondition can be improved.
