The invention discloses a method for treating lead zinc ore. The method comprises the steps that firstly, the lead zinc ore is sequentially subjected to crushing and wet milling treatment, and ore pulp is conveniently obtained; secondly, the ore pulp is mixed with an inhibitor, a first collecting agent and a first foaming agent, flotation is conducted, and accordingly lead sulfide rough concentrates and lead sulfide flotation tailings are obtained; thirdly, the lead sulfide flotation tailings are mixed with an activating agent, a second collecting agent and a second foaming agent, flotation isconducted, and accordingly zinc sulfide rough concentrates and zinc sulfide flotation tailings are obtained; fourthly, the zinc sulfide flotation tailings are mixed with a CMC inhibitor, a Na2S activating agent, a third collecting agent and a third foaming agent, flotation is conducted, and accordingly lead oxide rough concentrates and lead oxide flotation tailings are obtained; and fifthly, thelead oxide flotation tailings are mixed with the CMC inhibitor, the Na2S activating agent and a fourth collecting agent, flotation is conducted, and zinc oxide rough concentrates and zinc oxide flotation tailings are obtained.
