The invention relates to a device and a method for obtaining a single vertebra based on a three-dimensional spatial model, wherein the device comprises at least a fitting module and a bounding box processing module. The bounding box processing module determines the center of the bounding box, the distance between the two opposing faces and the normal vector of the two opposing faces based on the center points and the normal vectors of the two relative fitting planes fitted by the fitting module and determine the spatial position and size of the bounding box based on the determined center of the bounding box, the distance between the two opposing faces and the normal vector of the two opposing faces, thereby truncating a single vertebra. As a device for cutting a local model from a whole, the spine correction device of the present invention has generality, and can automatically obtain the spatial position and size of a bounding box to adapt to different vertebrae of different shapes.
