The invention discloses an automatic acquisition method and system for patrol inspection data of distribution lines based on visual servo. The automatic acquisition method comprises the steps of initializing the data acquisition system; performing linear segmentation on a collected image to obtain a binary image and detected linear segment information; further processing the binary image by usingprior morphological features of a power line to obtain the position of the power line in the image; detecting and positioning the top end of a tower in the image, controlling a cradle head to acquireimages of a series of poles from top to bottom according to the position of the top end of the tower in the image, and storing the acquired images into a pole image sequence; and realizing splicing ofa panoramic image of the distribution tower by adopting a method based on saliency detection and ORB feature point matching. The automatic acquisition method provided by the invention for the patrolinspection data of the distribution lines based on vehicle-mounted visual servo replaces field acquisition of hand-carried equipment, thereby reduces the workload of the power patrol inspection personnel, and improving the safety.
