The invention provides a biomass particle board and a preparation method thereof. The preparation method comprises the following steps: 100 parts of wood shavings and 20-40 parts of adhesive are uniformly mixed and aired to obtain mixtures; when the mixtures reach a target water content, the pavement, the hot-press molding, the edge cutting and the sanding treatment are performed to obtain the biomass particle board; the adhesive comprises tannin extract, polyethyleneimine and water; and the parts are calculated according to the absolute dry weight parts of raw materials. The biomass particleboard is simpler, quicker, flexible and convenient in the preparation process, achieves environmental protection, can finish hot pressing at any time after application of the adhesive to the wood shavings, and is free of influencing the gluing procedure by other procedures of a production line.
