The invention relates to a steel construction anti-falling protection device and a using method thereof. The protection device comprises a first clamping sleeve part, a second clamping sleeve part anda limiting assembly, wherein the first clamping sleeve part is clamped on the first side of structural steel, the second clamping sleeve part is clamped on the second side of the structural steel, the second clamping sleeve part is rotatably connected to the first clamping sleeve part, and can move along the steel, and the second clamping sleeve part can be separated from the second side of the structural steel by rotating the second clamping sleeve part, so that the first clamping sleeve part can be separated from the first side of the structural steel; and the limiting assembly is arrangedat the joint of the first clamping sleeve part and the second clamping sleeve part, and the limiting assembly is used for limiting the rotation of the second clamping sleeve part. The protection device is simple in structure and convenient to mount and dismount. Even if multiple connecting nodes are arranged on the section steel, and only the second clamping sleeve part needs to be rotated and adjusted when the protection device pass the nodes, so that the operation is simple and convenient, and the construction efficiency is not influenced.
